Kyogen Kyodo-sha is proud to present the '27th Goshare Meisho Kyogen Kai,' to be performed on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at the Nagoya Noh Theater (1-1-1 Sannomaru, Naka Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture).

Since its inception, Kyogen Kyodo-sha has hosted an annual performance, continuing the spirit of 'devoting oneself to kyogen' from 'Goshare Kai,' the enthusiasts' circle that inspired the company's founding.

Each year, we invite guest performers from outside Nagoya, offering local audiences rare opportunities to experience the artistry of renowned kyogen masters seldom seen in the region. This year, we welcome Moriyama Sensaburo and Moriyama Chuzaburo—leading figures of the Okura school based in Kyoto and Tokyo—and Zenkichi Zentake from Tokyo, who will perform 'Satake,' a humorous kyogen featuring witty exchanges between a swindler and Taro-kanja.

From our own ensemble, we will present 'Ishigami,' selecting a piece centered on dance accompanied by instrumental music (Ashirai). While Ashirai kyogen is rarely performed in regular programs, it plays a vital role in the training of young performers. This year, we entrust the dance to Sohda Inoue, one of our promising young talents.

Alongside 'Iriikagawa,' a playful word-based kyogen, we will present three main pieces. With guest performers and the inclusion of Ashirai, this year's program offers a rich and luxurious experience, ensuring an enjoyable time for all attendees.
